Wedding 101

You only get married once.. at least I will. And if this is your first time you probably have no clue of what you are supposed to be doing and how you must do it. Let me tell you how I have experienced this wedding grandeur event.

First you are all excited about what's to come... The Dress!!! Let's admit it almost all of us dream of the perfect dress, then the bridesmaid dresses and our bridal party, the rings, the ceremony, the reception, the favors, the honeymoon! Am I missing something?... Duh!! The Groom!!! First thing in the list.
                1. This is HIS wedding too

Now lets move on the topic which our favorite... The dress, oh my gosh! You have a bazillion gazillion options up there. My advice try at least 5 that you really like and choose upon those five, why? if you keep looking and looking you will only get confused and overwhelmed and you will not know which one fitted you better. So second on the list.

               2. Try at least 5 dresses and decide!

Now let us be serious girls, bridesmaid dresses.... it has been a nightmare for me! If you believe in modesty this is going the be toughest thing ever, start looking NOW as soon as possible. Also look for the option to have then made for each of your girls.

                3. Look for bridesmaid dresses ASAP

If you are short on money... welcome to the club. I have zero nothing money and I am making my way through it. It is hard but is possible. A lot of times I just want to iloop, sound easier and faster and cheaper, but oooh stupid society has taught us that we need a wedding! Oh well, let's face it we want a  beautiful big wedding, with lots of guests and good food. Wake up chicky! you are gonna have to humble yourself and work with what you have. Fourth on the list

                4. Decorations

You have some awesome resources like:

*Pinterest (follow me and see my wedding board)
*Dollar store
*Hobby Lobby
*Amazon
*efavormarket.com
and *Pinterest again

If your fiance wants to be part of  this.. LET HIM BE PART OF IT! it is your day as much as its his.

DO NOT fight for material stuff.... fight and argue about how many kids you guys will have and when.

Next on my list I would say is the rings. Because they tend to be expensive and the rings are really important to me so we wanted to get pretty ones. Now I understand you wanna have the ultimate bling and big stones... girls this is a burden for you fiance, he only wants to give you the best. Help him and help yourself and look for rings that in your budget. Maybe you can get some financial aid from the jewelry store. And save money so the down payment  would be big and then you don't have to worry as much to paid them of, or however is paying for the rings

                5. Ring hunt (remember... down to earth)

There are way more to write. I will add numbers as the planning progresses. Thank you for taking the time and write comments if you have better ideas.

Peace out!

Wax day

Ok girls today I had a serious intervention of wax day... I waxed my mustache, eyebrows and chin... it is actually kind of awkward to talk about it but this happens ok? I don't know how many of you girls wax yourself, if you don't I would encourage you to do so you save a lot of money. Ok so after I was done I always have the problem that I have some wax on my face and it is all sticky and it can become a mess so easily. So I am ready to share how you can get rid of it.

  1. Once you are done waxing, take a piece of cotton and add some baby oil, make up removes works too, and even some thick lotion. Rub it softly until almost all of it its gone
  2. If you still have it take a warm shower, the steam and the hot water will help to get the wax off. Or wash you wash your face with warm water and a cloth.
  3. After all this is done make sure you hydrate the area.

Dress Make Over

Story of this dress: I absolutely love this dress but it was just a little too short so I unpicked the hem but it was still short. Sometimes the girls from the dorms give away some clothes so I found this skirt that was a size two and I am so not a size two but I thought, "If I can only add this to my dress it would give the perfect length.

Step

  1. I cut the skirt and took away the zipper
  2. Pinned the skirt all along the dress' waist
  3. Sewed it all
  4. YEAH

It wasn't to hard and I think it looks great

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nails, nails nails

Here is another quick idea of how to do your nails

1. Green first
2. Silver pinkie
3. Dots on top the green.

Note: To do the dots take a pencil and stab pin, use the flat side

------------------------------------------------------------------

En espanol!

1. Aplica verde
2. Plateado en el dedo menique

Ballet

So yesterday was Friday, when the end of the semester is coming I can barely remember what I do in the day. I think for the most part it was good day, I remember being tired. Today I practice with my amazing pianist she is so great and it went really well. I have one last practice and then the big day is Monday! I just wish certain people would come like... I don't know my boyfriend! But lets not get into drama. I am working on my woodwind, strings orchestration for my final project I am kinda enjoying it. This afternoon we have a "fundatory" picnic that I dont look forward to because its hot and I rather do something else than being hot! I was looking at pinterest, that by the way you can follow me on pinterest, and I came across ballet pictures... Oh! How I wish I could to ballet again it is such a great form of art. Unfortunately I am not in the condition this ballerinas are, body wise :(, this makes me really sad. Maybe someone when I have nothing to do in life I can retake it...

I leave you with this beautiful picture. Have a great Saturday!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jaja mejor no.

Crazy busy day

Oh my word! Today was one of those days that when you wake up you expect it to be sorta easy. I didn't have many classes but I was full of other things.

  • 7:30 Psychology class
  • 8:20 Prayer time with the homies. They are such a blessing
  • 8:50 Church music administration was insanely fun. Got to learn more about the organ
  • 9:50 Chapel time and Michael preached on Ephesians 2. He did good! Praise God
  • 10:50 Philosophy of music, it was nice and got to talk about a lot of things and realize I had a "gestalt" moment....
  • 11;40 lunch... it was gross :(
  • Free time to go to Ross and got my recital outfit yay!
  • 2:30 Work meeting and work until 6:15
  • 6:15 Run to children's choir... I'm getting tired...
  • 7:30 Orchestra rehearsal, fun times
  • 8:30 until 9 something ... more recital preparation
  • Talked to a friend and had a good time

Oh my! full day! So how was your day?

In between all the busyness God truly gave me grace to finish it. I didn't even have to ask for it He just know what I need and when I need it! He is so loving.

Recital

Hello, hello

I just wanted to share, before I go to work, the recital clothes I bought (my violin recital) they are so cute and sooo comfortable. That's what I was looking for this outfit was around $20 at Ross. I didn't want to spend a lot of money or time. God bless I found what I wanted :)

It is actually a lot cuter than what the picture can show.

Nails, nails, nails

I really like to pain to my nails. I just got into it this last semester and little by little I'm building my nail polish collection. I love to try new designs and all that you see in Pinterest. Here are some of the designs I tried, they are far to be perfect because they were kind of my first designs. You should know that I'm left handed so my left hand is always kinda messy :p Anybody with the same problem?

Getting started!

So I decided to start a blog.... I'm not good at grammar and sometimes I won't make sense but I just have this vision of a Christian blog. In it I will post devotions and some thought about things, I want to put some fashion ideas in a world that modesty is pretty much gone, some cool  recipes and home decor and basically anything that comes to my mind.
