Starting from the beginning

This is mainly for my own entertainment. Putting on thoughts on "paper" always helps me to figure out a path in my life. So let us start from the beginning. I married this really wonderful guy that works his butt off to provide for me and our kitties. We met in college 6 years ago and have been married for 2. We started living in Arizona for 5 years, then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado and now we are in Cheyenne Wyoming. We have recently bought a house since we are expecting our first baby in February. I am currently employed full time and with no time for my house and my sanity. My hubby works about 60 hours a week so that leaves us with no time for ourselves and our sanity. We do try to make time for our relationship but sometimes it involves going to the groceries really late at night. So it is not that romantic but still fun because I love him.

When the baby arrives I would really love to stay home and take care of my baby for the first year, but if I see that the bills are killing us I probably go back after 6 months and work part time. This decision brings A LOT of worries, "how are we going to pay the bills?, are we gonna make it?, what if we can't? should we sell one car?, babies are expensive!" I figured that if I can bring home at least $500 a month we could easily make it through. So I started looking into options to make money from home. There is a lot of selling this, that and the other but I never saw myself as that kind of person. Even though I work selling stuff and I must admit I am pretty good at it, I just don't see myself making a living out of selling the nowadays novelties.

I always saw myself as my own boss, taking care of business, you know? I thought about starting my own international business by either exporting goods from Mexico or doing translations or even selling the novelties. So I guess this is what this blog will take you and me, a trip into what a new mom will do to help her hubby pay the bills and try to survive with a newborn.

Until then...
